Everything by hand, from shearing onwards
The 7 alpacas of Quinta do Rio provide the wool. They enjoy a wonderful life on their Quinta.
In spring, I assist with shearing these lovely animals. After that, I sort, wash, card, spin, and knit the wool entirely by hand, turning it into a beautiful sweater or another garment.
Sometimes I blend alpaca wool with wool from the Portuguese sheep to improve the garment's texture.
Everything is handmade and 100% animal-friendly.
